POSITION: PORTFOLIO MANAGER TRUSTEE SERVICES

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
An opportunity exists to express your passion for exceptional client service in the Trustee Services Department with front office exposure to clients.

MAIN ACTIVITIES
Trustee Meeting Agendas
Assist with compilation of trustee meeting agendas and timeous delivery to client Ensure proper record keeping.
Ensure proper record keeping.

Trustee Meeting Minutes
Attendance of trustee and committee meetings and typing of minutes.
Submission of minutes within specified time frames.
Updating of action items emanating from trustee meetings.

Section 37C Death Claim Investigations
Assist with collection of information required for compilation of death claim recommendations.
Assist with compilation of recommendations for trustees in line with section 37C of the Pension Funds Act and case law.
Presentation of recommendations to trustees.
Continuous enhancement of procedures and death claims systems.

Technical
Assisting with technical queries.
Assisting with responses to Adjudicator complaints.
Maintaining Administration Agreements and Addendums.

General
Support link between client and service providers.
Support role to Principal Officers.

QUALIFICATIONS
Relevant Retirement Fund related qualifications.

SKILLS REQUIRED
At least 5 years’ experience in Employee Benefits.
Previous experience in a front office liaison capacity with trustees and Principal Officers.
Proficient knowledge of various investment vehicles to enable efficient minute taking.
Advanced Word and Excel experience.
An excellent working knowledge of section 37C of the Pension Funds Act and a good knowledge of Adjudicator determinations and case law in this regard.
Experienced in technical aspects of the retirement fund industry.
High level of accuracy.
Ability to work calmly and efficiently within tight deadlines.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Client service orientated.

REMUNERATION
A total cost to company market related salary structure including benefits are offered.
